Sabbath Exploration Group
Monday, October 9, 2023, 5:00 PM
Find rest, renewal and delight in our busy lives by the practice of keeping the Sabbath Holy. As Christians we can renew this ancient tradition to find the fullness and balance God meant for us to have in our busy and productive lives that sometimes seem empty. We will explore what this Sabbath time means from a Christian perspective and how to move into the rhythm of it using simple practices. Guidance will be provided by Bishop Henry Parsley and Rev. Mary McKnight and we will be using several books (Sabbath by Wayne Muller and Sabbath by Abraham Joshua Heschell). If you are interested in participating the group will meet every 2nd & 4th Monday from 5:00 pm till 6:00 pm, starting September 25th for six sessions, ending on December 11. Please make a commitment to the group to attend every session if possible. Register by calling the church office. If you have questions, please contact Charlotte Davis or Rev. Cheryl Brainard.
