Spiritual Growth Moment ~ September, 1st, 2021
by Greg Richardson
In my youth, my Mom would often send me out the door with the admonishment to “Remember who you are”. While at that time this advise did not always resonate each time, the phrase always stuck with me. When the time came for Ann and I to admonish our girls on their life adventures, I found myself returning to this phrase along with Ann’s addition from her Mom of “Make good choices”.
I feel that one of the silver linings of the trials and changes in 2020 and 2021 is the opportunity offered to each of us to take time to reflect on who we are and what is important in our lives. I also feel that the past year or so has allowed St. James Parish to take time to look deeply into who we are and where we want to go as a church community. I pray that as we continue to navigate through the challenges that this pandemic presents, St. James continues to reflect on who we are, continues to make good choices, and continues to focus on where we need to be as a church family.
