Meet Our Speaker: Dr. Warren Kinghorn
Warren Kinghorn, MD, ThD is Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Duke University School of Medicine and Esther Colliflower Associate Research Professor of the Practice of Pastoral and Moral Theology at Duke Divinity School. He also serves as Co-Director of the Theology, Medicine, and Culture Initiative (TMC), which works with current and future healthcare workers to re-imagine and re-engage contemporary practices of healthcare in light of scripture, Christian tradition and the practices of Christian communities. As part of his work with TMC, Kinghorn directs a program of Christian theological formation designed specifically for mental health practitioners. In his new book, Wayfaring: A Christian Approach to Mental Health Care, Kinghorn draws from his years of caring for patients and training future clinicians to develop a Christian vision of accompanying those facing mental health challenges.
