Children’s Ministries: Sunday School

Our goal at St. James Parish for Children’s Ministries is to create age-appropriate ways to express faith. Let’s support that goal and have a wonderful year in Children’s Ministries at St. James!
Children’s Ministries has a fun fall planned for everyone between 3 years old and 5th grade! There are a few updates and changes occurring as well. The first update we’d like to share is that registration for children participating in Sunday School will now be strongly encouraged. Our Parish is lacking a well-formed database for children in 5th grade and under, the registration process will help us create one. This new protocol will also help keep all students attending Children’s Ministries programs safe. You can find the form using the button above. Please fill out one form a year, not each Sunday.
Visitors are welcome! If you can, let Children’s Ministries know in advance who will be attending. If it’s a last-minute attendance you may still come! If the child is in 2nd grade or under, we ask that a parent or guardian stay with new students. Forms will be present in each classroom on Sunday morning. Reminder: We only have 45 minutes and want to use those minutes efficiently.

Faith Built Through Wonder (3’s and 4’s): Explore God’s love for us. We will engage in stories, create crafts and enjoy time together exploring all the wonder in God’s creations.

Faith Foundations (Kindergarten and 1st grade): Building a foundation in faith invites learning about God using the Bible as our road map. Explore, create and marvel at God’s big love for us!
- Faith Builders (2nd and 3rd graders): Building Faith story by story. We will explore the Bible in an imaginative way using our minds, Legos, and other hands-on activities!

Faith Adventurers (4th and 5th graders): Grab a cozy seat and get ready to get lost in a good book. This fall, we will set out to uncover God at work in the stories around us. This is a Bible study not to be missed.
