2Share is a small group of local volunteers who started an ad hoc effort, in 2017, to take in furniture donations that we then delivered to those in need in our community. In 2018 in the aftermath of Florence, they significantly expanded their efforts. As a no-profit, all-volunteer, grassroots ministry, they work cooperatively with many local organizations.

In 2017, a small group of local volunteers started an ad hoc effort to take in furniture donations that we then delivered to those in need in our community. In 2018 in the aftermath of Florence, we significantly expanded our efforts. As a no-profit, all-volunteer, grassroots ministry, they work cooperatively with many local organizations in Great Wilmington.
2Share is financially supported through the generosity of various local faith communities, currently including Church of the Servant, St. Paul, and St. James Episcopal churches as well as private donations. They have also received support from local retailers such as Mattress Firm and Costco.
Roughly 70% of 2Share’s clients are single moms with an average family size of four. Over sixty percent of the 1400 plus people they have served thus far, are children and they average 10 new client referrals a month.
2Share operates on a client referral system. Client referrals come from organizations such as Moms N Mourning, Catholic Charities, Coastal Horizons, Child First, Help Hub, Harrelson Center, Soaring as Eagles, NHCSS, Trillium, The Sister Isaac Center, One Christian Network, First Meal, Good Shepard Center, First Fruits, RHA Health Services, Communities in Schools, the Domestic Violence Shelter, Eden Village, NC Legal Aid, local faith communities, as well as a network of school social workers.
Since October 2018, we have made 412 truck deliveries of furniture to 330 households mostly in North/East End and Southside neighborhoods of Wilmington, such as Creekwood, Villages at Greenfield, Houston Moore, Hillcrest, Jurvay and others.
