ST. JAMES YOUTH OUTREACH WORSHIP IN ACTION
Several exciting and wonderful experiences await our St.James young people, their friends and adults who accompany our young people on their journeys of faith. This summer many of our young people will be serving God through Outreach & Mission.
During 2023 - 2024, our young people and adults will be participating in Outreach Opportunities and Projects within Wilmington & in other places within our world. Already we have collected over 300 stuffed animals to give to children who will benefit having a snuggly stuffed toy nestled up next to them.
"Glory Ridge” in Madison County will be our week long outreach opportunity where we will repair homes, begin to build a home for one of the families for whom we have worked whose home burned to the ground a little over a month ago.
In July, fifteen of us will fly to Ecuador to repair, build, share, learn and worship with our new Ecuadorian friends and we will learn about their history and culture. Historically, St. James has been a leader in helping people who have need that can be met by our gifts and talents.
During the coming year, our youth will be experiencing Episcopal worship in a variety of traditions and cultures, providing Bible School for children, and renovating and building homes, schools, and churches. As a result of our activities we hope to come away with a keener sense of God at work in us both here in Wilmington and in the world.
