St. James Parish Foundation
Give a gift to The St. James Parish Foundation to leave a lasting legacy.
Our Mission
The St. James Parish Foundation was established in 2003 with the mission of supporting the needs of St. James Parish’s historic church campus in perpetuity. The Foundation supports its mission by providing financial contributions, generously donated to the Parish, through targeted distributions for capital or specific campaign-related needs.
Financial Snapshot
The Foundation oversees more than $3 million in assets. Historically, up to 2 percent of the assets are used annually to provide financial support for campus expenses such as the repair and replacement of the church roof, storm restoration, structural repairs, and operational expenses. Foundation investments are managed by an outside professional investment firm with concentrated efforts to appropriately manage and grow the Foundation assets. In addition, a Foundation committee works directly with the investment firm to monitor and report on the health of the Foundation assets to the board.
Board Members
The Foundation is composed of up to 12 board members (10 lay and 2 Vestry members) who are elected by the congregation and serve 3-year terms. Vestry Directors serve a one-year term and are determined by the Vestry.
The current Board of Directors for the Foundation is as follows: (Term expiration listed in parentheses)
- John Sloan, President (2021)
- David Mann, Vice President (2022)
