Episcopal Church Women
ECW officially stands for Episcopal Church Women – we have also heard it to mean Everyone Caring and Working! As a member of St. James’, every woman is automatically a member of ECW. We encourage women to participate and help with activities that ECW sponsors - like the Creative Connections offering or the Cookbook Project.
Since 1871, the National Episcopal Church Women – ECW, have championed women’s rights, and the Christian foundation of God and family. We are an affiliate of the Episcopal Church. The ECW ministry provides grants around the world. St James’ ECW supports children and family outreach programs in our Wilmington community and the diocesan support through the National Church’s Mite Box Campaign. We will be holding meetings at our formal gatherings throughout the year. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you will join us in participating!
