Men On A Mission
Men on a Mission, affectionately known as “MoM,” is a group of St. James men who join forces in a fun way to focus on Service and Fellowship at St. James and throughout our community. We currently have over 170 members. The purpose of Men on a Mission is to provide the men of our parish with an opportunity to get to know each other better and to work together to serve our parish and our community in fun ways. We have quarterly Fellowship events at interesting places featuring delicious food and drinks, as well as time to pray together. MoM also organizes and leads various service projects on the St. James downtown campus, Mount Lebanon Chapel, Trinity Center, Glory Ridge and several local not-for-profit sites. There is no cost of joining MoM and no requirements to participate in any of the fellowship and service activities. MoM is a great way for the men of our parish to get to know each other better, and a wonderful vehicle or newcomers to become engaged in our parish while having fun doing so with a great group of men! Men on a Mission Fellowship and Ministry Opportunities
- A Safe Place to Go
- Yard cleanup and simple painting at the emergency home used by A Safe Place to Go, the local organization combatting human trafficking, and helping the victims return to a more normal lifestyle. This will be 4 hours on a Saturday morning following by lunch and drinks at a fun spot. More information and details to follow.
- Construction with Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (WARM) and Habitat for Humanity
- We will have more information about how Men on a Mission can come together for various building projects.
- One Love Tennis
- Mentoring students in the One Love Tennis program. These are some of the kids in our community who need help the most, and Men on a Mission wants to be part of this process.
